Most people think that the Trix rabbit never gets the cereal. He seems to never quite outsmart the kids, always just missing his opportunity. However, if you look back far enough, the rabbit actually does get some cereal, if only a few mouthfuls. 

Perhaps that’s why he’s always so eager: he’s had just a taste, and now he wants a full bowl. Wearing a hat and dragging a bag along, the famous bunny stabs the box with a stick and carries it away in black and white. 

The commercial is from the 1950s, but it’s very similar to the current commercials. The rabbit manages to get two mouthfuls before the kids take it from him again. The bunny insists that not only are Trix for kids, they’re also for “tricky rabbits.” 

Throughout the years the bunny has donned many outfits. In 1978, he donned a sailor’s outfit and sang a song. His schemes and outfits have been many and varied.
