While Ryan was a mouseketeer on the Mickey Mouse club, he became good friends with Justin. They lived together for 6 months during the filming of the show and when Ryan’s mom had to return to Canada for work reasons, Justin’s mom became his guardian.

Ryan got a 2 year contract to do the Mickey Mouse Club. He wasn't featured on the show as much as his co-stars, but he says that the gig helped him get a sense of structure in his life.
